Forehand:
Primarily on the Forehand, the blade allows you to create the necessary pressure on your opponent. You keep the Backhand in play all the time and it enables you to induce changes in the ball whenever you want. Especially in active play at the table, Black & White becomes a true “weapon.” Due to its light weight you achieve a higher forearm acceleration, so the ball travels to the opponent’s side with greater speed and more spin.
Backhand:
Reducing speed and a flat ball on the backhand are very useful for players with pips. Even faster pips, such as the “Schmerz” grass, can be very well controlled so the ball does not fly off the table. Pressure and a more aggressive ball are major advantages of this blade. Because of the low weight, short and fast motions are easy to play. You will also find it easier to hold the racket over the table and thus hit the ball faster.
What rubber combinations do we recommend:
1. Aggressive play near the table with forehand. Offensive pips are played with backhand.
2. In the front part we recommend an attacking rubber with greater control.
3. On the backhand it pairs beautifully with long pips (Grass), such as Hellfire or Schmerz.
The wooden part of Black&White is a classic wooden blade, so you can combine it with any rubber combination. However, since Sauer&Troger is aimed at “PIMPLE” players, under points 1, 2 and 3 we have prepared various suggestions. Of course you can replace the previously mentioned rubbers with other models, for Hallmark rubber, etc...

is a high-tech anti-spin rubber for defensive players close to the table and disturbing all-round players who want maximum control, very short and low bounce and a pronounced disruptive effect. Ultra soft sponge provides a safe feel even against strong topspin hits, while the rubber also offers surprisingly effective active options, such as counter, aggressive push and side slaps.
The greatest advantage of the Blackout model is its ability to turn powerful attacking balls into short, low and very awkward returns. Thanks to the ultra-soft sponge and linear damping, it offers a very safe feel in play, meaning the player maintains excellent control even on fast topspin attacks. That is why Blackout is an excellent choice for players who play close to the table and want to reliably block, shorten the ball, and force the opponent into error.
An important advantage of this rubber is also the extremely low surface grip, which enables a very strong disruptive effect. The ball after contact often takes an unpredictable trajectory, the bounce remains low and short, and the opponent finds it harder to judge the amount and direction of rotation. This is ideal for players who want to create pressure, confusion and a tactical edge with an anti rubber from the very first contact.
Blackout is not intended solely for passive defense. In addition to controlled blocking, it also enables surprising offensive options, such as active pressures, counterattacks, aggressive pushes and sidespins. This combination of safety, control and unpleasant response makes Sauer & Tröger Blackout an excellent choice for defensive specialists and disruptive all-round players who play close to the table.
Key product features
Specifications:
is especially suitable when transitioning from defense to offense play. In this case the rubber forgives many mistakes that can occur during fast ball rallies. We developed Secret Flow Chop in combination with long pips (Grass) on the backhand, thus creating a tailor-made offensive rubber for a player with pips.
Recommended playing system:
We recommend version 1.5 mm and 1.8 mm for a classic defensive player or a player who plays close to the table and pays much attention to control. Because of the “sc-sponge,” you can alternately play short and long balls. The 2.1 mm version is perfect for a modern player who seizes every opportunity to attack. In attack, strokes are performed quickly; high speed can be achieved without loss of control, which is usually the case when playing with a too hard sponge.
